The Pitmine,” a showcase of Dwarven craftsmanship, was a joy to help design and contribute to under the level design direction of Michael Cheng & James Riding. In this level, Kratos and Atreus work together, father and son, as a well-oiled machine, navigating combat challenges and intricate puzzles in their relentless pursuit of Tyr.

Beyond thankful for Raul Aparicio , Pailin Bartlett , Patrick Ward , Brandon Cha , Steven Mortensen , and our world-class art team for bringing this space to life. Special thank you to Mark Webster for the Large Crane Sluice Puzzle designs in the second half of the “The Pitmine” and all their work on it that helped shape where we landed. Additionally, forever grateful to collaborate with Rajul Ramchandani , designer of the Sluice System Designs, and the opportunity to work closely together on the Sluice Intro Puzzle and Sluice Puzzles throughout the Svartalfheim Pitmine & Applecore. 
The creation of this space demanded an immense collective effort from every individual, across all departments, and forever thankful to work together with everyone at Santa Monica Studio on “The Svartalfheim Pitmine.”
